Most performers want to play more new music. You may even partner with a few composer friends to present new works sporadically. The challenge is finding more suitable music. Not just a little more, but a firehose more. The Ear wants to help boost your access to living composers. We currently have over 800 composers in our network – composers who want to connect with the general public.
We curate our catalog meticulously. You won’t be bombarded with hundreds of pieces you have to sort through. That overwhelmed, futile feeling of finding a needle in the haystack is precisely the problem we’re trying to solve! We’ll present you with a small pile of needles.
By signing up, you will
1) gain access to our catalog, and
2) receive an email when a new piece is posted for your instrument.
Also, 3) you’re letting our composers know which instruments to write for. If 300 cellists sign up, composers will be energized to write for cello.
Composers and performers are natural partners. We can’t thrive without each other. Build this exciting parallel network experience with us, and let’s restore mainstream composition to the heart of classical music.
