Mark Landson is a composer/violist/writer living in North Texas. He studied composition with Bruce Plumb, George Taylor, and James Dunham at the Eastman School of Music. Mark has developed a unique style of classical composition by melding classical motivic development with rock and pop sensibilities of harmony and pacing. His first compositions in this style were featured on Spanish radio and he was hired to arrange for the Orchestra of Granada. Mark is a tireless performer and popularizer of classical, and has also created the first performable English versions of many great works of German Lieder, including Schumann’s famous Dichterliebe cycle.
